MBTA Updates
The MBTA temporary walkway to Union Station, will be removed from service on April 20, 2023 for the construction of the permanent MBTA walkway within the new Civic Plaza
The permanent walkway is estimated to complete on July 3, 2023
Access to the MBTA Union Station remains available via the Elevator and stairs located on Prospect St
Access to Union Station is also available from the east on Charlestown, entrance at Allen St

10 Prospect Street (D2.1) – Future Life Sciences Building (closest to Somerville Avenue)

The following activities are expected to take place:
Roofing and roof deliveries with a crane
Interior fit out of the core
Mechanical room fit out
Electrical room rough in
Landscape and sitework
Weekend Work (5/20): Interior fit out of the core, mechanical room fit out and electrical room rough in.
20-50 Prospect Street (D2.2-D2.3) – Future Apartment Building (closest to MBTA Station)

The following activities are expected to take place:
Façade & sealant work at the tower & midrise
Site & hardscape work
MEP rough at the tower & midrise
Interior framing & drywall at the tower & midrise
Interior finishes at the tower & midrise
Roof work at the tower & midrise
Weekend Work (5/20): Exterior facade work, interior rough & finish work and trash removal operations at the tower and midrise.
Eversource Neighborhood Infrastructure Project - Work Performed 7PM to 5AM
Update provided by Eversource:
Crews will continue to excavate and install distribution conduit in segments within the parcel, between Prospect Street and Allen Street. Crews will begin excavation to install another distribution vault (manhole) within the parcel.
Please note, construction activities are subject to change due to weather or unexpected circumstances.
Work hours remain 7 PM - 5 AM during working days. Some work may be conducted beyond normal work hours with approval from city officials.
