USQ's 2nd Annual Holiday Give

USQ hosted its 2nd Annual Holiday Give to benefit the Somerville Homeless Coalition (SHC) with support from 9 local businesses and the community who together raised over 1,800 lbs of food and essential supplies. In parallel, over $8,500 of direct contributions were raised for SHC providing the means for 850 meals to address food insecurity. USQ also opened the event to the public this year supporting individual contributions from the storefront at 31 Union Square.

Many thanks to Somerville Media Center, Somerville Community Corporation, the City of Somerville, Somernova, Bow Market, Cranshaw Construction, Cambria, Formlabs and Greentown Labs for their effort to raise donations over a three week period.

Cranshaw Construction donated the most items and won the Union Square Fezziwig Award, recognizing those who embody the holiday spirit by generously giving to our neighbors in need.
